P. Shawn Phillips used to tell me that he felt like he wanted to quit every Wednesday night after a youth service. I didn’t know what that meant. He would say,
“Hosh, when you feel like you want to quit. Then just do it. Quit. Tell yourself that you are never doing youth ministry again. Then go home. And come back on Thursday.”
Tonight, I quit.
Tomorrow, I will be back baby.
