Almightly Apple Crashes

Apparently, even the perfect Apple Company has some chinks in their armor occasionally. Foxnews has the story.

SAN FRANCISCO — Swarms of online shoppers armed with new iPods and iTunes gift cards apparently overwhelmed Apple’s (AAPL) iTunes music store over the holiday, prompting error messages and slowdowns of 20 minutes or more for downloads of a single song.

Frazzled users began posting urgent help messages Monday and Tuesday on Apple’s technical forum for iTunes, complaining they were either not allowed into the store or were told the system couldn’t process their request to download songs and videos.

Christmas was a blast! I will have some pics to post very soon, but for now let me just say that being locked in a condo with 6 cousins ages 6-12 – IS A BLAST! It was loud and crazy, but most of that was my doing anyway! I hope that everyone else’s was amazing too!

This week, as I am so suddenly and rudely thrown back to my office routine, I am also a touch introspective. I guess that is natural when you are reflecting on the year that just passed and a year that is about to begin. I hope that some of these musing will materialize into something substanative, but if not, that is alright too. I guess, stay tuned.

In other news – they are going to HANG SADDAM!

Amazing, Simply Amazing

It is necessary that I tell you all a story of greatness. Last night as my brother and I left our parent’s house to return me to my home base, I realized that I had left my entire set of keys in my beautiful girlfriend’s car. She had left hours ago and was already home, in bed, almost asleep on the complete other side of town. It is an approximately 40 minute drive across town between our houses. So, I had left my keys with her. It was not a tragedy, seeing as my roommate was able to drop me off at work and she would be able to come pick me up. So, this morning I am sleeping, attempting to wake up and face my week, when I am awakened by someone opening my front door. It is Jami, she had gotten up almost an hour early, driven all the way out to my house and now had to drive clear across town once again – just to deliver my keys.

This girl is amazing. I didn’t ask her to do this. I didn’t expect her to do this. She just did it out of the goodness of her heart. I don’t bring a lot of “gushiness” to this blog, but today it is mandatory! Jami is amazing. You all should be as lucky some day.

I Found This

Last night I was cleaning my house and I found a bag in my coat closet that had a few things in it. I found my swim trunks that I had been missing and a pair of shoes that I had been missing. This is how I found the shoes. They were covered in complete mold. Apparently, my brother and some of his friends took my shoes out and about somewhere, got them covered in something and then threw them in a bag in my closet. This was one of the most disgusting things I have ever seen (probably #8 out of 10.) Thanks, Seanster!

Congratulations are in order for my great friend, Gary Budd. He and his beautiful wife, Annette, have announced that they are expecting their 6th child in the summer. That is amazing. So far the count is 4 girls and 1 boy, I am going to be honest, I am rooting for a boy on this one. We will see what God has planned! Congratulations to the Budd Family.
