In Mourning . . . Rocktober is Over.

Well. Rocktober is over. Today, I will wear my black Rockies hat with the World Series logo and NL Champions emblazoned across the front. This will be done out of support and out of mourning.

“There is no shame in losing to a better team.

And make no mistake, the Red Sox were the better team.” – Mullet

On the one hand, I am exceptionally grateful. Rocktober was born! They gave us a reason to think about fall baseball around here. However, it is very sad. Rocktober won’t exist for a while. Some of our beloved players will be gone. We will start next year with a new bunch of nobody’s and a few memories, but that is about it. Atkins will be gone. Fuentes should be gone. Our trio of able-bodied centerfielders will be no more. With a hope and prayer we will still be able to see our beloved Tulow, our rockstar Holliday and our icon Helton.

So now we look to the future. 124 days until Pitchers and Catchers report.
